The First Lady will land at MBS Airport on Sunday, visiting Mount Pleasant

Jill Biden to visit Ziibiwing Center with members of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribe

First Lady Jill Biden plans to spend much of Sunday, October 24 in Michigan. She is expected to travel to Mount Pleasant as the first stop on her two-day trip from Michigan to South Carolina, according to a report by CM Life, Central Michigan University student newspaper.

The First Lady is expected to land around 12:30 p.m. at MBS Freeland International Airport. After landing, Biden will head to the Ziibiwing Center for a listening session focused on youth mental health with members of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribe.

The session is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm Biden will be joined by US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.

On Sunday evening, Biden plans to attend and be the guest speaker at the annual dinner at the Yeshiva Beth Yehudah Jewish School in Detroit.

Dinner is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center, where the winner for “Outstanding Leadership” will be Mary Barra, CEO and President of General Motors Co, according to a report by Detroit News.

She will fly to South Carolina after the event with the intention of going to Joint Base Charleston.

Biden was in Michigan last month when she wrapped up the “Back to School Road Trip.” She spoke at Oakland Community College with US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. The two pleaded for two years of free community college, which is part of President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better program.
