Southwest Airlines crew member launches song to entertain travelers after flight delay

A Southwest Airlines crew member recently enlivened the passengers by singing a song after their connecting flight was delayed from Baltimore, USA. The crew was delayed because they were arriving on another flight that was late and there was baggage to load. To alleviate the inconvenience caused to the passengers, one of the crew members decided to spread a little cheerfulness in the form of a song just before takeoff. The team member reimagined the lyrics to Nat King Cole’s classic, LOVE. The performance was filmed and posted on the ViralHog YouTube channel.

“On my connecting flight southwest from Baltimore, we were delayed because the crew was arriving on a late flight and there was last minute baggage to load,” said Samantha Searls, who recorded the images. “Once we got on the plane, we had to wait a bit on the tarmac. So one of the flight attendants decided to sing us a song right before it was finally time to give the safety briefing and take off.

The crew member’s gesture earned the travelers a few laughs. Video shows the crew member singing into the PA system and even promoting his employer – Southwest Airlines – during the LOVE performance

Images of the incident, which occurred on October 23, have been viewed more than 8,500 times on Youtube.

Many people commented on the post to appreciate the crew’s gesture to entertain passengers as they waited on the tarmac for take-off.

“Awe what a darling,” Teresa Rodgers said.

“It made my day, why isn’t it viral,” said a person with the username “Real Demonic Possession”.

“Adorable,” said Karen Reaves.

This is not the first time that a flight attendant from the Southwest has sung for passengers. Two years ago, another crew member sang their way through the safety speech. The flight attendant reminded the passengers to fasten their seat belts. His interpretation was applauded by the passengers.

We are sure that such thoughtful and gentle gestures from crew members leave passengers in awe.
