Airwolf continues to support Enstrom helicopter operators

Airwolf Aerospace has announced that it will continue to produce flight-critical components for Enstrom aircraft, following the manufacturer’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy declaration.

Airwolf will continue to support Tension Torsion (TT) Straps and TT Strap Conversion Kits for Enstrom 480B, 280 and F28 operators, being an official supplier of Enstrom and its operators since 2015.

Airwolf products for Enstrom helicopters hold Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval from the United States Federal Aviation Administration, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and the DG Indian civil aviation.

Airwolf says it also expects to receive similar certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China soon and is open to obtaining STCs from other civil aviation authorities if necessary.

Enstrom ended all technical support to customers on January 19

Enstrom delivered its last helicopters in December 2021. It then stopped taking new parts orders and providing overhauls on January 7, but continued to offer technical support to customers until January 19.

However, Enstrom President Matt Francour suggested that several groups have already expressed interest in acquiring Enstrom’s assets and restarting the business, saying, “I don’t know how, and I don’t know when, but I have a feeling we’ll be back.”

Airwolf said it is “here to support Enstrom operators now and will hopefully support a revived Enstrom helicopter company again soon.”
